BPU Provide Update to Administratively Determined Incentive Program

On February 20, 2026 the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) issued a program update to its Administratively Determined Incentive (ADI) program.

The ADI program is a sub-program of the Successor Solar Incentive (SuSI) Program that incentivizes net metered residential, non-residential, and remote projects and community solar projects up to 5MW. BPU performs triennial reviews the program’s incentive levels, capacity, and program design elements.

BPU’s program update stated that:

(1) additional time is needed for its triennial review, initiated June 30, 2025, “to assess the full impact of the federal solar investment tax credit phase-out”; and

(2) excepting separate actions on program-specific incentives, it “will maintain current ADI Program incentive levels through the end of the energy year (May 31, 2026), or until [it] takes affirmative action.”
