Commission Approves United American Marketing’s Application for Electric Broker License Upon Payment Of Civil Penalty
The Public Service Commission of Maryland filed Order No. 92163 approving the license application of United American Marketing Corp. for an electric broker license.
The license approval is conditioned upon United American Marketing Corp. paying a civil penalty of $3,067.36. A penalty is imposed when suppliers operate in Maryland without the required Commission authorization. United American Marketing stated that it had previously operated in Maryland on behalf of Constellation New Energy and Energy Harbor from September 19, 2019, to September 3, 2022, and realized it needed to obtain a license on September 3, 2022.
United American Marketing intends to serve residential, commercial and industrial customers in all service territories. Ibrahim Alimirah is listed as President and CEO.
