Commission Approves Utility Changes Electric & Gas Green Programs Recovery Charge
The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) approves Public Service Electric and Gas Company’s June 2024 petition seeking to update its electric and gas Green Programs Recovery Charge rates. The parties executed a stipulation that results in an increase in the monthly bill of a typical residential electric customer of $0.81 and increase in the monthly bill of a typical residential gas heating customer of $0.75.

The Board also approved three (3) Rockland Electric Company rate filings: 1) Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative; 2) its Societal Benefits Charge; and 3) its Conservation Incentive Program. The parties executed three (3) stipulations which, if approved by the Board, would result in a cumulative increase in a typical residential customer’s annualized monthly bill of $3.06.
