Commission Files Notice Of Opportunity To Comment And Rulemaking Session In Green Product Offerings – Revisions to COMAR 20.53 and 20.61.04.01

[ *** ] On May 7, 2025 the Commission’s Technical Staff (“Staff”) filed with the Commission a Petition to revise COMAR 20.53.07.07 requesting that the Commission synchronize the disclosure statement adopted by regulation on April 23, 2025 with the disclosure statement ordered by the Commission in Case No. 9757.

Comments on the revised regulations shall be e-filed by June 25, 2025. The comments should be addressed to Andrew S. Johnston, Executive Secretary, Maryland Public Service Commission, William Donald Schaefer Tower, 6 St. Paul Street, Baltimore, MD, 21202, and reference “RM 84” in the subject line of the cover letter.

The Commission also gives notice that it will conduct a rulemaking session on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, 10 minutes after the conclusion of the Administration Meeting, which begins at 10:00 a.m. in the Frank O. Heintz Hearing Room, on the 16th Floor of the William Donald Schaefer Tower, 6 St. Paul Street, Baltimore, MD.

The purpose of the rulemaking session is to consider whether to publish for notice and comment the revised regulations as submitted in the May 7, 2025 Staff filing. If the Commission approves the proposed regulations for publication, the proposed regulations will be published in the Maryland Register for notice and comment as provided for by the Maryland Administrative Procedures Act.
