Commission Files Notice Of Procedural Conference In Petition Of Office of People’s Counsel For Near-Term, Priority Actions and Comprehensive, Long-Term Planning for Maryland’s Gas Companies

[ *** ] On August 20, 2025, the Commission issued Order No. 917911 instituting formal proceedings to investigate issues pertaining to long-term natural gas company planning practices in the above-captioned proceeding.
The Commission hereby gives notice that it will hold an in-person only, procedural conference, conducted by Special Master Thomas C. Gorak, on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m., in the Frank O. Heintz Hearing Room, William Donald Schaefer Tower, 6 St. Paul Street, 16th Floor, Baltimore, Maryland 21202 for the purpose of establishing a procedural schedule and to consider any preliminary matters.
Accordingly, the Commission invites interested stakeholders to file comments on the matter as follows:
- any preliminary matters shall be e-filed with the Commission by September 5, 2025;
- interested persons and stakeholders shall file reply comments no later than September 12, 2025. The comments shall be e-filed4 and addressed to Andrew S. Johnston, Executive Secretary, Maryland Public Service Commission, William Donald Schaefer Tower, 6 St. Paul Street, 16th Floor, Baltimore, Maryland 21202, and reference “Case No. 9707” in the subject line; and
- the parties shall be prepared to propose a schedule for the filing of initial and reply testimony and exhibits. [ *** ]
