Commission Files Notice Of Proposed Rulemaking Regarding Changes To Retail Licensing Requirements

Category: Uncategorized

The Commission is proposing several changes to the licensing process and requirements.

  • Repeal the requirement for the Annual Supplier Workshop for both electric and gas supplier licenses.
  • Suppliers would be able to provide a copy of the bond required for licensing instead of the original bond.
  • Applicants for broker and aggregator licenses will no longer be required to provide sample supply contracts and bills.  This would still be required of suppliers.
  • If a licensee fails to provide service to customers within two years of the issuance of its license, the license will be revoked.  The licensee will be given an opportunity to provide evidence of service or request a hearing.
