- The Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia (“Commission”) hereby gives notice that the Commission will hold an in-person technical conference on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 10:00 am in Formal Case No. 1178.
2. By Order No. 22004, the Commission directed Washington Gas Light Company (“WGL”) to prepare materials to present at a technical conference on the topic “Best Methods for Leak Detection”, including responses to stakeholders’ filed comments. The technical conference shall address “the most effective methods, both in terms of technology and procedures, for detecting natural gas leaks in urban environments,” including “both current practices and innovative approaches that may enhance accuracy and efficiency in leak detection.” WGL’s presentation shall include consideration of questions, concerns, and best practice recommendations raised by the parties in comments filed by July 31, 2024.
3. Interested parties are invited to attend the presentation. The technical conference will be convened at the Commission offices at 1325 G Street, N.W., Suite 800, Washington, D.C. 20005, on September 20, 2024, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
