Commission Initiates Data Center Proceeding

The Arizona Corporation Commission’s Chairman initiated a new proceeding to review rate classifications and consider the creation of more transparent rates for data center customers and the public.

Possible additional issues include reviewing utility mechanisms being implemented with data center customers and behind-the-meter solutions, in-front-of-the-meter solutions, and user-funded utility scale generation by large customers.
