Category: Uncategorized

Duquesne Light filed with the Pennsylvania PUC the default service supply rates for the periods beginning June 1, 2024.

The default service supply rate, or supply charge, reflects generation supply only, unlike the official Prices to Compare which also reflect transmission and the state tax adjustment surcharge.

For residential customers (Rate Schedules RS, RH and RA) the standard Duquesne Light default supply charge will be 8.1229 cents per kWh for the period June 1, 2024, through November 30, 2024, which is marginally lower than the current 8.2038 cents per kWh.

For Small Commercial and Industrial customers (Rate Schedules GS/GM and GMH under 25 kW) the standard Duquesne Light default supply charge will be 8.1618 cents per kWh for the period June 1, 2024 – November 30, 2024, which is 5% lower than the current charge of 8.6296 cents per kWh.

The standard supply charge for Medium Commercial & Industrial customers (25-200 kW, Rate Schedules GS/GM and GMH) at Duquesne Light will be 7.6110 cents per kWh for the period June 1, 2024 – August 31, 2024, which is about 20% higher than the current charge of 6.3760 cents per kWh.
