  • The New Jersey electric distribution companies (EDCs) have requested additional time to submit their post BGS auction tariffs to seven days after the PJM RPM results are available. 
  • The BPU opened a docket to consider re-adoption and amendments to the Energy Competition Rules. This is the docket where the BPU urged RESA to raise its concerns about pass through of capacity costs to fixed price customers. 
  • On December 19, 2024 the BPU issued an order transferring ACE’s base rate case petition to the Office of Administrative Law.  ACE is seeking an annual increase in rates of approximately $128 million. The monthly bill impact of this request on a typical ACE residential customer using approximately 649 KWhs per month is estimated to be an increase of $12.96 or approximately 8.06% of a total monthly bill.  (BPU Docket No. ER24110854)
  • On December 19, 2024 the BPU approved two stipulations of settlement related to JCP&L’s Rider Lost Revenue Adjustment Mechanism (LRAM) rates, which result in a monthly increase of $0.49 for an average residential electric customer using approximately 783 kWh per month. (BPU Docket Nos. ER23080483 and ER23110865).
