Eligo Energy Files Notice Of Completed Stipulation In Settlement Agreement

Section 2 of the Settlement Agreement obligated Eligo to: (1) increase its level of security on file with the Commission; (2) pay a civil penalty; and (3) send a letter to its current customers located in the service territories of Delmarva Power and Light Company (“Delmarva”) and The Potomac Edison Company (“PE”). Under Section 4 of the Settlement Agreement, “Eligo shall notify [the Staff of the Commission, the Maryland Office of People’s Council], and the Commission upon completion of the obligations set forth in Section 2, above, at which time Eligo’s license shall be expanded to include the Delmarva and PE service territories.”
On May 31, 2024, Eligo notified the Commission that it had increased its surety bond and paid the civil penalty. As of June 21, 2024, Eligo had mailed letters to its customers in the Delmarva and PE service territories. Therefore, Eligo has completed its obligations set forth in Section 2. Pursuant to the terms of the Settlement Agreement, Eligo‘s electricity supplier license is now expanded to include the Delmarva and PE service territories. [ *** ]
