On March 13, 2026 ERCOT made its quarterly true-up compliance filing and notice of uplift charge adjustment.

In that filing ERCOT recommended that “the daily Uplift Charges should be slightly decreased from $394,512 to $389,734 effective May 1, 2026.”

Also on March 13th, the Commission issued Order No. 28 requiring commission staff’s recommendations and establishing objections deadline.

Per the Order by March 18, 2025, Commission Staff must make recommendations as to the sufficiency and completeness of ERCOT’s March 13, 2026 compliance filing.

In its recommendation, Commission Staff must offer its opinion as to whether the true-up filing and uplift charge adjustment comply with PURA2 and the Debt Obligation Order. Any objections to ERCOT’ s March 13, 2025 filing must be filed by March 20,2025.

This is a compliance proceeding for ERCOT’s bond issuance to finance the “uplift balance” stemming from the winter power crisis of 2021.
