Governor Signs Clean and Reliable Grid Affordability Act

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker signs SB0025 the “Clean and Reliable Grid Affordability Act.”  

The law is now codified as Public Act  104-0458, which among other things introduces a new law aimed at doing the following:

  • scaling battery storage
  • facilitating investment in renewable energy
  • enabling virtual power plants (VPP) and 
  • strengthen energy efficiency programs
