Dockets: 24-0338
Category: Uncategorized

On May 10, 2024, Clearwater Enterprises, L.L.C. (“Applicant”) filed a verified Application with the Illinois Commerce Commission (“Commission”) requesting a certificate of service authority to operate as an alternative gas supplier (“AGS”) in Illinois.

Applicant is currently a retail natural gas supplier in Oklahoma and is licensed in approximately 25 states. Applicant states it seeks to be authorized to offer natural gas service to small-volume business customers located in the Ameren Illinois Company d/b/a Ameren Illinois gas service territory. Applicant notes it does not intend to serve residential or small commercial customers within a geographic area that is smaller than a gas utility’s service area.

“The Commission has reviewed the Application along with all attachments. The Commission finds that the Application is in order and satisfies the requirements of the Act and Part 551. Applicant has demonstrated that it possesses sufficient financial, technical, and managerial resources and abilities to provide the sale of natural gas service to eligible customers. The Commission concludes, therefore, that the request for certification as an AGS should be granted.”

The following individuals are identified in the application, Lisa Owens as the CFO, Maria Olivares, VP-Operations and Contracts.
