IPA, ICC, and IEPA Seek Stakeholder Feedback on Resource Adequacy Study Questions
The Illinois Power Agency (IPA), Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC), and Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) held a cross-agency workshop to engage stakeholders in the upcoming Resource Adequacy Study.
The workshop provided an overview of the study’s purpose, statutory mandates, timeline, and proposed methodological approach. It also outlined the scope of the modeling and analysis, clarified the roles of each Agency, and shared information on next steps in the process. All materials from the workshop, including the workshop agenda, presentation, and recording, can be found on the IPA’s Resource Adequacy Study web page.
Following the cross-agency Resource Adequacy Study workshop, the IPA, ICC, and IEPA have released a series of Stakeholder Questions and are seeking stakeholder feedback in response. These questions are designed to gather valuable input at the outset of the Resource Adequacy Study, with a focus on goals, scenario development, data inputs, key policy drivers and considerations, and supporting assumptions.
Stakeholder responses are due to the Agencies by July 16, 2025 at 5 p.m. CT.
Responses should be submitted to the IPA at IPA.ContactUs@illinois.gov.
Please refer to the stakeholder question set for detailed submission instructions and confidentiality guidelines.
Stakeholders are encouraged to sign up for the Resource Adequacy Study email distribution list. This list will serve as a primary channel for updates and communications related to the Study, including future workshops, stakeholder materials, and other important announcements.
