Large Load Customers Rules Published
Please be aware that the Tentative Order from the Pennsylvania’s Commission’s November 6 Public Meeting re Interconnection and Tariffs for Large Load Customers at Docket Number M-2025-3054271 was published in the Pennsylvania Bulletin. This will trigger the start of the 30-day comment period.
As reported previously on November 6, 2025 the Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commission (PUC) issued a tentative order on a model tariff for interconnection of large load customers.
In this order, among other things the PUC proposes directing funding from interconnected large load customers to the utilities’ hardship funds. As noted, there was also “general agreement that Large Load Customer guidance is needed in the areas of interconnection costs, interconnection studies, minimum contract terms, exit fees, and collateral, among other areas.”
