- HB 485 would seek to allow local jurisdictions to rescind sales/local tax exemptions of residential electricity sales.
- HB 704 would add state holidays as non-disconnect days for REPs/utilities.
- HB 1359/SB 1513 would create a state-funded income assistance fund for low income customers, require REPs to have a bill payment assistance program and allow REPs to be reimbursed from the state fund.
- SB 271 would add a home residential elevator needed to access or exist the home to the list of medical equipment which may qualify for residential critical care status.
- SB 426 would require the PUCT to publish a weekly list of the number of residential electricity dis- connects between the period of June 1 and September 30 each year and would require REPs to pro- vide data for such purposes.
- SB 1413 would add to the extreme weather disconnect criteria the existence of a “weather related disaster declaration issued by the Governor in any county in the relevant service territory” in addition to the normal extreme weather criteria.
