Maryland Interconnection Work Group Files Phase III Report

On March 16, 2026 Staff filed the Interconnection Work Group report on the status of Phase III in the implementation of FERC Order No. 2222 and retail grid services in Maryland

The Work Group reached basic consensus on core uniform planning disclosure elements, but disagreements continued on equity-related disclosures, and how to incorporate policy goals such as supporting underserved communities. Also, while there is agreement on integrating reliability into electric system plans, parties differ on the depth of analysis required.
