MD – Maryland EAP Division-PSC- Suppliers – Use Utilities’ “Sync Lists” To Confirm Your Residential Customers.
Retail suppliers – As a reminder, as established by Maryland PSC Order No. 91463 if a retail choice customer receives service from the utility pursuant to a residential utility tariff, the customer is a residential customer for the purposes of SB 1 and Order No. 91463 compliance.
Staff requests that all suppliers use the utilities’ sync lists to determine which customers they serve are on a utility residential tariff to ensure that all residential customers are switched to dual billing or dropped to default service prior to the end of the year. Attached are guides for accessing customer sync lists for BGE, Pepco, Delmarva, Potomac Edison and Washington Gas (WGL).
SMECO does not use a sync list but has informed Staff that on October 1, 2025, it provided each supplier a list of its customers, including which customers are served on a SMECO residential tariff.
