NFGD Asset Transfer Transaction Completed

Previously on April 29, 2026 NFGD filed a compliance tariff effective May 1, 2026, that expands its service territory to include the Borough and Township of North East following the acquisition of North East Heat & Light .
The tariff implements full operational, billing, and regulatory integration of NEHL customers into NFGD’s system.
The tariff also defines key terms such as former NEHL customers and a closing date to clarify how legacy customers are treated. New rate schedules are established for former NEHL customers across residential, commercial, and other classes, transitioning them to NFGD’s standard rate structure, including gas supply, merchant function, and procurement charges. Existing riders, such as gas cost recovery, tax surcharges, and DSIC, are applied to these customers, and transportation service categories are incorporated. Additionally, the tariff extends the Customer Assistance Program eligibility to former NEHL customers.
