NJ – Information for suppliers and EDI providers regarding PHI’s billing system technical upgrade

Category: New Jersey

To All PHI Suppliers and EDI Providers,

PHI will be performing a technical upgrade of its existing billing system, and the scheduled go-live date is July 6, 2026. Suppliers and EDI providers should note the following:

  • There will be no changes to existing EDI transactions and there will be no new EDI transactions.
  • There will be no change to existing account numbers.
  • PHI has done testing with its EDI provider, Hansen, so no testing is required with suppliers.
  • There is no blackout period as July 3, 2026 is already a scheduled holiday as indicated on the published meter reading calendars and PHI does not process inbound transactions on weekends, other than on scheduled Saturday billing cycles. The attached documents should be referenced for meter reading dates, holidays, and Saturday billing cycles for 2026.
  • Transactions received by Hansen on the following dates will be sent to PHI for processing on July 6, 2026:
    • July 2,2026 after 5:00 PM
    • July 3, 2026
    • July 4, 2026
    • July 5, 2026

If the go-live date changes, a notification will be sent ahead of time.

Thanks,
