Non-Unanimous Settlement Filed in PPL’s Rate Case

On March 13, 2026 the Pennsylvania Public Utilities Commission filed a proposed settlement letter stating that:

“We are writing to inform you of a proposed settlement in the above referenced case. PPL Electric Utilities Corporation (PPL),the Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement (I&E), the Office of Consumer Advocate (OCA), the Office of Small Business Advocate (OSBA), the Coalition for Affordable Utility Services and Energy Efficiency in Pennsylvania (CAUSE-PA), the Commission on Economic Opportunity (CEO), Convergent Energy and Power, LP (Convergent), Dimension PA 1, LLC (Dimension), the U.S. Department of Defense and all other Federal Executive Agencies (DOD/FEA), the Environmental Intervenors (EI), the Energy Justice Advocates (EJA), the Coalition for Community Solar Access and Solar Energy Industries (collectively, the Joint Solar Advocates), PP&L Industrial Compliance Alliance (PPLICA), the Retail Energy Supply Association (RESA), the Sustainable Energy Fund (SEF), Walmart, and Eric Joseph Epstein have filed a Joint Petition for Approval of Non-Unanimous Settlement of All Issues (Joint Petition or settlement). A copy of the settlement petition was sent to you by PPL on March 13, 2026.

After we have reviewed the proposed settlement, we will prepare a written recommended decision, which you will receive, recommending that the Commission 2 adopt or reject the settlement petition. The Commission will make a final decision on whether or not the proposed settlement should be approved.”

An accompanying Joint Petition for Non-Unanimous Settlement of All Issues (“Settlement”) was also filled.  Attached to the Settlement are the following Appendices:

  • Appendix H – Grandfathered MW Cap Allocation Process
