OCC Files Comments Regarding Shared Clean Energy Facility Program

From OCC Comments

The Office of Consumer Counsel (“OCC”) respectfully submits this supplement to its written comments filed with the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority’s on September 23, 2024, regarding the Shared Clean Energy Facility program. OCC has spoken with the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Energy and Technology Policy (“BETP”), who clarified that their proposal regarding a separate price cap for solar canopies would result in a lower total price paid by ratepayers for this energy source than that approved in the Decision in Docket No. 23-08-04. To the extent BETP’s understanding of the Decision is correct and its current proposal offers ratepayers savings, OCC would support BETP’s current proposal.
