OPC Files Comments on Choptank’s Offering of EmPOWER Maryland Program

On September 13, 2024, Choptank Electric Cooperative, Inc. (“Choptank”) filed a response to the Maryland Commission Order No. 91255. This response included a proposed procedural schedule and an outline of the additional information that Choptank intends to provide to the Commission to facilitate its decision-making on whether Choptank should offer an EmPOWER program.
Regarding the procedural schedule, OPC respectfully requests that the Commission allow for both a comment period and reply comment period between the filing of Choptank’s plan and the scheduling hearing.
Additionally, OPC respectfully requests that when Choptank includes, in its report to the Commission, any member feedback on EmPOWER participation, it also includes the materials and information that Choptank provided to its members to elicit this feedback.
