As background, this is an annual proceeding for the procurement of Basic Generation Service (BGS) for New Jersey’s four investor-owned electric utilities (IOUs), for the period 6/1/27 – 5/31/28. Two-thirds of the state’s BGS requirements for residential and small commercial pricing (RSCP) customers has already been procured, and this proceeding is for the procurement of the remaining one-third of the BGS-RSCP requirements, as well as The BGS requirements for C&I energy pricing (CIEP) and Rockland’s non-PJM service area capacity needs.
