PSC Revokes Marketing/Consulting Firm’s Eligibility to Operate in State

On October 16, 2026 the New York PSC issued an order revoking PTM Marketing & Consulting eligibility to operate as an energy consultant in New York.

New York PSC Staff alleged that PTM Marketing & Consulting violated the Uniform Business Practices (UBP) and New York PSC orders by enrolling customers with All Choice Energy and Verde Energy without authorization (slamming).  Staff also alleged that PTM Marketing & Consulting was using unregistered independent contractors.  Staff also alleged that PTM Marketing also failed to comply with other customer protections and New York PSC orders.

PTM Marketing & Consulting failed to respond to the New York PSC’s July 20, 2026 order to show cause by the August 17, 2026 deadline.

In the order, the New York PSC determined that PTM’s failure to respond to the Commission’s show cause order warranted revocation of its eligibility and closed the proceeding.
