PURA Approves Utility’s Proposed RAM Components

On April 22, 2026 PURA issued an interim decision approving new rates effective 5/1/26 – 4/30/27 rates for Eversource, subject to its pending prudency review in this proceeding, for the following six rate adjustment mechanism (RAM) components:

  • Non-Bypassable Federally Mandated Congestion Charge (NBFMCC): credit of 2.006 ¢/kWh
  • Transmission Adjustment Clause (TAC): charge of 4.219 ¢/kWh
  • Systems Benefit Charge (SBC): charge of 0.8166 ¢/kWh
  • Revenue Decoupling Mechanism (RDM): credit of 0.3178 ¢/kWh

Additionally, through this Interim Decision the Authority directs the Company to implement the Two-Step Analysis described within Section III.C.4, Interim NBFMCC Rate Adjustment Procedures, below. The Authority will revisit the issue of potential cost allocation changes in a future RAM proceeding after evaluating the impact of implementing the Two-Step Analysis and the interim NBFMCC rate change process.
