PURA Files Notice Of Proceeding In Application Of Eversource Energy To Amend Its Rate Schedules – AMI Cost Recovery

On January 3, 2024, the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (Authority) authorized The Connecticut Light and Power Company d/b/a Eversource Energy (Eversource) and The United Illuminating (UI, collectively, with Eversource, the EDCs) to proceed or continue with advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) deployment, subject to certain necessary steps to maximize AMI’s potential and value for ratepayers. Decision, Jan. 3, 2024, Docket No. 17-12-03RE02, PURA Investigation Into Distribution System Planning of the Electric Distribution Companies– Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI Decision). The Authority is conducting this proceeding pursuant to the AMI Decision for the purpose of investigating, developing, and potentially authorizing a cost recovery tracker for Eversource for certain AMI expenditures.
