PUC Files Notice Of Technical Meeting In Energy Affordability Annual Review

{***} “On April 20, 2022, the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (Authority) issued a Decision in Docket No. 21-07-01, Application of The Connecticut Light and Power Company and Yankee Gas Services Company, each individually d/b/a Eversource Energy, The United Illuminating Company, Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation, and The Southern Connecticut Gas Company for Approval of Arrearage Forgiveness Program 2021-2022, establishing a consolidated, comprehensive annual review proceeding to examine energy affordability matters of electric and gas utility customers in Connecticut (Annual Review). The Annual Review is an opportunity to assess the new and ongoing residential hardship and non-hardship and non-residential energy affordability programs and offerings in a single annual proceeding. A technical meeting of the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (Authority) staff and docket Participants will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, beginning at 10:00 A.M., via remote access. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the Companies’ filed Motion Nos. 4 and 5 in this proceeding.
The Authority directs the Companies to provide a joint presentation summarizing the filed proposals. Further, the Authority invites any interested Participants to provide a presentation or otherwise provide remarks regarding the proposals in Motion Nos. 4 and 5 or other relevant energy affordability items.
The Companies and any interested Participants must provide a list of presenters and an estimated time to present to the case coordinator, Robin Ussawin Bumpen at Ussawin.bumpen@ct.gov, by 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 13, 2024. The Authority will then issue a meeting agenda, which will allow time for Authority staff, docket Participants, and interested stakeholders to ask questions of each presenter. The Companies and any Participants providing presentations must file their presentations through the Authority’s web filing system and provide a copy to the case coordinator by 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
