PURA Issues Proposed Final Decision In Investigation Of Appropriate Limitations On All Customer Contracts With Electric Suppliers

[ *** ] The Authority determines that supplier contracts should be modified to ensure compliance with the requirements of General Statutes § 16-245o(m). Therefore, EOE shall submit a motion, in this docket, for review and approval of any recommended changes to supplier contracts ensuring that financial hardship customers remain at or below the standard service rate throughout the duration of the contract term on a prospective basis. To ensure input and participation by all Participants, EOE shall first consult with OCC and the working group members prior to filing the motion.
[ *** ] In this Decision, the Authority investigated appropriate limitations with which contracts between financial hardship customers and electric suppliers are to comply pursuant to General Statutes § 16-245o(m). Further, the Decision provides clarifications concerning the implementation of the proposed limitations.
ORDERS [ *** ]
- On or before April 28, 2025, EOE shall file a motion in this docket for review and approval, with recommended language changes to supplier contracts on a prospective basis. Prior to filing such a motion, EOE shall consult with OCC and the working group members.
- No later than 45 days after the date of this Decision, the EDCs shall provide an update concerning the status of their respective compliance with Order No. 1 of the April 24, 2024, Interim Decision. [ *** ]
