Previously on May 13, 2026, Rhode Island Energy issued its RFP for offshore wind projects. In this RFP, Rhode Island Energy is soliciting bids from renewable energy resources, with each project having a capacity of at least 20 MW and not exceeding 300 MW to enter long-term PPAs for energy and obtain RECs from eligible, newly developed offshore wind energy projects.
