Sprague Operating Resources Re-files CRNGS Application
On March 11, 2026 Sprague Operating Resources filed a competitive retail natural gas supplier (CRNGS) application with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO).
In its letter accompanying the application the company indicates that it had “previously filed its original application on December 18, 2025. Subsequently, Sprague filed a request to withdraw its application with the Commission on January 15, 2026. On February 4, 2026, the Commission approved Sprague’s request to withdraw its application. In consultation with Commission Staff, Sprague has made certain updates to its application and herewith files its application for approval to operate as a CRNGS Provider in Ohio.”
In its application, the company indicates that it intends to serve all customer classes in all service areas.
