On April 1, 2026 Staff of the New York PSC filed its annual energy storage deployment report annual energy storage deployment report.

According to the report, New York is ahead of schedule on near-term storage goals and incentives are successfully scaling the market. The focus going forward is to continue cost reductions, improve market participation, and address workforce needs. Finally, a major policy review is planned for 2026.
