On April 20, 2026 New York PSC Staff files Data Access Proposal Extension Request. Per a prior order Staff was to file its data access report on April 20, 2026.

“Pursuant to Ordering Clause No. 1 of the Public Service Commission’s (Commission) Order Directing Staff Proposal to Modify Data Access Requirements issued on October 20, 2025 in the above-referenced proceedings (Order), Department of Public Service Staff (Staff) was directed to file, within 120 days of issuance of the Order, a proposal regarding potential modifications to the Commission’s Data Access Framework that further support customer choice, enable useful access to useful data, and address cybersecurity and privacy concerns. On February 13, 2026, Staff requested and was subsequently granted a sixty (60) day extension, with a new filing date of Monday, April 20, 2026.

Staff continues to work diligently to develop the proposal. However, due to the complexity of the recommendations being considered, and the commitment to provide the Commission with an actionable proposal, Staff requests a further extension of ninety (90) days to prepare the proposal in compliance with the Order, with a new filing date of Monday, July 20, 2026.”
