Supplier Diversity Hearing Scheduled For July 8th

[ *** ] The Commission will continue its annual review of the Maryland Supplier Diversity Program by holding a hearing to begin at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, in the Frank O. Heintz Hearing Room, William Donald Schaefer Tower, 16th Floor, 6 St. Paul Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21202. The theme of this year’s conference is “Supplier Diversity in Action: Empowering Inclusion, Opportunity and Growth.”

The purpose of the hearing is: 1) to consider the upcoming report from the Commission’s Technical Staff (“Staff”) that summarizes the data from the 2024 Maryland Supplier Diversity Program Annual Reports filed with the Commission by the Reporting Companies, including any issues that may have come to Staff’s attention during its review of the 2024 Annual Reports (“Staff Report”); and

2) to hear comments from each Reporting Company on the Staff Report and to discuss with representatives of each company the status of the company’s efforts towards implementing the MOU, including goals, data collection, resolution of disputes, etc.

At the hearing, the Commission will receive comments and presentations from certain invited parties, including utility companies, minority- and women-owned business enterprises, and Staff. Written comments on this matter may be submitted electronically or by first-class mail by July 1, 2025. Comments submitted electronically must be submitted through the Commission’s Public Comment Dropbox, which can be accessed through the Commission’s website at www.psc.state.md.us. [ *** ]
