Technical Meeting Scheduled In Annual Non-Residential Renewable Energy Solutions Program Review – Year 5

[ *** ] The Authority will hold a Technical Meeting on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, starting at 10:00 a.m., via remote access. The Authority will use this Technical Meeting to receive information on the topics included in the Notice of Request for Written Comments issued on May 6, 2025, including: (1) price caps, (2) bid preferences, and (3) state, agricultural, and municipal (SAM) project sizing. 

 

Additionally, the Authority directs The Connecticut Light and Power Company d/b/a Eversource Energy (Eversource) and The United Illuminating Company (UI; together, with Eversource, the electric distribution companies or EDCs) to jointly provide a presentation on the NRES bids submitted for each year of the NRES program, including, but not limited to, a comparison of the number of overall bids, the bid prices in each project category, the number and percentage of bids submitted under the Netting and Buy-All tariffs; the number and percentage of bids submitted under the Distressed Municipality, Landfill or Brownfield, and Solar Canopy or Carport bid preferences; and the number of projects submitted under the School Solar and Storage category.

Moreover, the Authority invites stakeholders to present on any of the abovementioned topics. The Authority tentatively plans to structure the Technical Meeting as follows: (1) EDC presentation and questions; (2) topic-by-topic presentations and discussions; and (3) public comments. The Authority will release an agenda ahead of the Technical Meeting.

 

All participants planning to present or otherwise provide comments at the Technical Meeting must provide a list of speakers and an estimated time to present to the PURA case coordinator, Ussawin “Robin” Bumpen, via email, Ussawin.Bumpen@ct.gov, by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. All participants providing presentations must file their presentations through the Authority’s web filing system and provide a copy to the PURA case coordinator by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2025.
