Texas PUC Initiates Proceeding To Address Providing Certain Customer Information From Retail Providers To TDUs
The Public Utility Commission of Texas has assigned Project No. 56898 for a proceeding captioned as, “Provision of Emergency Contact Information to Transmission and Distribution Utilities by Retail Electric Providers”.
As of publication time, nothing substantive has yet been filed in the project.
As reported last week, during the Texas Public Utility Commission (TPUC) opening meeting session, CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, in discussing its Beryl service restoration, noted the challenges the TDU faces in not having contact information for most of the retail electric customers on its system.
