Notice Type: Tariff Notification – AEP Texas Inc. Distribution Cost Recovery Factor (DCRF) final rates effective August 4, 2025.
Short Description: On June 20, 2025, the Commission approved final DCRF rates for AEP Texas Inc. for bills rendered on and after August 4, 2025, in PUCT Docket No. 57858.

Long Description: AEP Texas filed for an amendment to its DCRF on Thursday, March 20, 2025, in PUCT Docket No. 57858. On June 20, 2025, final DCRF rates were approved for AEP Texas Inc. for bills rendered on and after August 4, 2025. Ordering paragraph 3 of the final order requires AEP Texas provide notice to REPs of the approved DCRF rates and the effective date at least 45 days before the approved rates are implemented. This notice complies with this requirement.
The DCRF is an interim rate adjustment allowed by Texas statute that permits electric utilities to implement new rates to account for changes in distribution invested capital without filing a full rate case.
The Rider DCRF final rates will include the following charges on bills rendered to REPs:
