Notice Type: Tariff Notification – Standard True-Up Filing for AEP Texas Inc. Concerning Rider SRC – System Restoration Charge and Rider ADFIT
Short Description: On July 28, 2025, AEP Texas Inc. filed a standard true-up filing concerning Rider SRC – System Restoration Charge and Rider ADFIT. It is anticipated that the final rates will be administratively approved by the Commission. The SRC and ADFIT updated rates are effective for bills rendered on and after August 28, 2025.

Long Description: AEP Texas Inc. filed for approval of updated SRC and ADFIT rates pursuant to the Financing Order in Docket No. 49308 on Monday, July 28, 2025, in PUCT Docket No. 58464. The filing is being made to comply with the procedures in the Financing Order for making a standard true-up, which among other things, states that not less than 15 days prior to the first billing cycle for the Company’s September billing month, and no less frequently than annually, the Servicer shall file a revised Rider SRC setting forth the upcoming SRC period’s SRC rates. Any modifications subsequently ordered by the Commission will be made by the servicer in the next true-up filing. In its standard true-up filing, AEP Texas is proposing SRC rates for its central division be effective for bills rendered on and after August 28, 2025. This filing only affects the Central Division of AEP Texas.
In addition, consistent with the Financing Order, Rider ADFIT is adjusted to accurately reflect the amount of ADFIT benefit available over the period of the rider’s existence. Adjustment of Rider ADFIT must use the same allocation factors and billing determinants as the system restoration charge true-up filing.
The standard true-up for the SRC rates allows AEP Texas to true-up any over or under collections in order to pay the transition bonds pursuant to the financing order issued in Docket No. 49308.
