In New York the utilities filed volumetric net crediting tariffs for CDG customers.
Next steps include:
- The utilities must implement the metrics for billing credit timeliness and utility response time to host allocation lists by January 1, 2026.
- Beginning January 1, 2026, the utilities must file quarterly report updates.
- Beginning March 31, 2027, the utilities are directed to file annual reports for each calendar year ending December 31st.
As background, this proceeding was initiated to consider whether to allow community distributed generation (i.e., community solar) and potentially other distributed energy resources products and services, to be included on the utility consolidated bill.
