Reopening of LifeEnergy Supplier Investigation

This proceeding was initiated by the ICC at the recommendation of the Office of Retail Market Development and Consumer Services Division following a Staff report that found that the supplier LifeEnergy has failed to comply with training and certification requirements. (Re:  Investigation of compliance with 83 Ill. Adm. Code 412, Obligations of Retail Electric Suppliers.)

The ICC issued an  Order on Reopen vacating the stay of enforcement of the final order and directs LifeEnergy to pay ~$1.034 million.

Note that at time of order, LifeEnergy no longer exists in any operational sense, but purely as a legal entity persisting to see through the end of this proceeding.
