PUCO Seeks Comments on Draft Certified-Request Form Used to Return Mercantile Customer to Default Service

PUC Staff of Ohio has posted a draft certified-request form that retail electric suppliers would use to effect an expedited return to default service for a mercantile customer.
Stakeholders may provide comments to PUCO Staff on the draft certified-request form.
As background, HB 15 of 2025 allows only mercantile customers to request an expedited return to the standard service offer, to be completed within 3 business days of a request, provided that the customer’s retail supplier contract allows for such an expedited return.
