Utility Directed to File Revised Green Button Cost Estimate

On July 15, 2026 the District of Columbia’s PSC issued an order.

Among other things, PSC directed Pepco to file a revised cost estimate “to refresh the record regarding [Pepco’s] Cost Estimate to implement Green Button Connect My Data and the 150-Day Report filed by the Customer Impact Working Group.”

Previously on May 30, 2026 Pepco filed updated Green Rider Tariff.

The updated decreases the PIV-Green rate from $0.024080/kWh to $0.02284/kWh.

Previously on May 22, 2026 Pepco filed a response to Commissioner Beverly’s inquiry.

As background,  the PSC opened this case “to identify technologies and policies which can modernize [the] energy delivery system to increase sustainability, cost effectiveness, efficiency, and reliability.” Issues to be considered include energy storage, electric vehicles, and distributed energy.
