DC Bill Enacted Without Mayor Approval

On August 14, 2026 D.C. Council Bill 26-0661 was enacted without Mayor’s Signature with Act Number A26-0418.
As reported previously, the Council had made amendments removing the restrictive retail energy provisions including price-caps. See in particular Subtitle E provisions that were stricken from the final bill. The bill still requires federal congressional review prior to becoming law.
