ALJ Approves Utility’s Distribution Cost Recovery Factor
Texas PUC ALJ issued an order approving an unopposed motion from CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC to implement its proposed increase in CEHE’s Distribution Cost Recovery Factor (DCRF) on an interim basis.
“The Administrative Law Judge grants the motion and authorizes CenterPoint Houston to implement, on an interim basis, the requested rates, which are included as exhibit A to the motion, effective for usage occurring on and after September 30,2026, subject to surcharge or refund in accordance with 16 Texas Administrative Code § 22.125 if the interim rates differ from the rates ultimately approved by the Commission.”
The interim rates, listed below, will be effective for meters read on and after September 30, 2026
The interim rates will be charged until a final approved tariff resulting from CEHE’s DCRF application becomes effective, and are subject to reconciliation to the extent the interim rates differ from the final tariff rates
