LIPA Postpones Choice Between Two Bidders For Electric Grid Contract

The Long Island Power Authority in New York further delayed choosing a company to manage Long Island’s electric grid. Currently, LIPA is reviewing companies that responded to the May 2024 request for proposals. The chosen company would begin managing the electric grid beginning January 1, 2026, as the current contract with PSEG expires at the end of this year.
