January Customer Complaint Statistics
For the month of January 2025, the PUCT complaint staff received a total of 988 complaints, up from the 812 they received in December. Electric complaints also rose in January, with the PUCT receiving 28% more electric complaints than they received in December.
REP complaints comprised approximately 76% of the total volume of complaints related to electric service. The five REPs receiving the most complaints in January accounted for approximately 84% of all the REP complaints. The chart at the bottom shows five REPs receiving the most complaints and the types of complaints each company receives. To obtain company-specific information, please contact us.
Also, during January, the PUCT staff closed 540 complaints related to electric service. Of that number, approximately 93% were investigated by the PUCT staff.
Of the 331 REP complaints closed in January, 43 were found in violation of Commission Rules.
