Commission Files Notice Initiating Rulemaking – Green Product Offerings

On July 11, 2024, the Staff of the Maryland Public Service Commission (“Staff”) filed a Petition requesting the Commission initiate a rulemaking to revise regulations governing green product offerings. 1 Accordingly, the Commission hereby initiates an Administrative Docket, RM 84, to consider revisions to Code of Maryland Regulations (“COMAR”) 20.53 and 20.61.04.01, and directs Staff, after consultation with stakeholders, to file proposed regulations by September 9, 2024. The proposed regulations should address all aspects of Public Utilities Article (“PUA”), Annotated Code of Maryland, § 7-707.
