Commission Issues Order Addressing Request for Commission Direction Regarding Community Solar Credits and Supplier Consolidated Billing
The Maryland Commission issues an Order finding that:
(1) that community solar customers may participate in supplier consolidated billing;
(2) that community solar net excess generation should be credited as described in this Order;
(3) that the Net Metering Work Group is directed to explore ways to integrate supplier consolidated billing (“SCB”) participation for community solar subscribers into the regulatory framework being developed for HB 908’s second rulemaking phase; and
(4) that the Net Metering Work Group and the SCB Technical Implementation Work Group are directed to further consider SCB implementation issues involving community solar crediting application, and to make recommendations on how to resolve any remaining SCB implementation issues.
