Duquesne Files Supplement Default Service Electric To Be Effective On September 25, 2024
Duquesne Light files the Supplement Default Service Supply tariff to become effective on September 25, 2024. This filing modifies Default Service Supply (“DSS”) for residential, lighting, and small commercial and industrial (“C&I”) customers. Rider No. 8 – DSS provides that upon determination that the DSS, if left unchanged, would result in a material over or under collection of supply-related costs incurred or expected to be incurred during the effective period, the Company may file with the Commission for an interim revision of the DSS to become effective thirty (30) days from the date of filing, unless otherwise ordered by the Commission.
“The Company respectfully submits that this proposed adjustment to the DSS is in the public interest because it is reasonably necessary to avert a projected large under collection. The Company respectively requests that the Commission authorize Supplement No. 81 to become effective on September 25, 2024 (i.e. on 30 days’ notice as defined in Rider No. 8 – DSS). If approved upon 30 days’ notice. Supplement No. 81 will result in an average bill increase in the approximate amount of $8 for residential customers, and $50 for small commercial customers.”
